We begin the episode with
Kimberly (the yoga instructor) marching her butt back in the
mansion and demanding a second
chance because she feels that
they are “soul mates” and all that other mumbo jumbo. Somehow it worked
on him though because he ends up letting her stay, much to the other girls’
dismay.
1st Group Date:
Jade, Tandra, Ashley I., Mackenzie, and Tara are
invited to join Chris on a date filled with tractor races and various other “country”
themed activities (didn’t realize a pool party was country, but whatever).
Then, at the end of the evening he picks Mackenzie, the 21 year old mom, to
join him on a mini 1-on-1 date, forcing the other girls to head home for the
remainder of the night.
Mackenzie starts off the conversation by asking Chris
if he’s been to LA before…Seriously? Did you not watch him on Andy’s Season?
Good question though.
She then proceeds to tell him that he has a “big
prominent nose,” and then rambles on about aliens and some other non-sense. Oh,
and she named her son ‘Kale’. I assume he gave her a rose solely because it’s
far too cruel to send her home minutes after she just showed you pictures of
her child.
First 1-on-1 Date:
Megan is the lucky lady chosen for the first
1-on-1 date of the season, which she believes is just a love note. Apparently
she’s never watched The
Bachelor before.
The couple boards a plane to Las Vegas, where they then take a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. Megan fills the silence by repeatedly
reminding herself to “breathe.” Because sometimes it’s easy to forget.
On the ground, Megan gives Chris her sob story about why she came on the show,
followed with Chris giving her the rose. They then spend the rest of the day
kissing and walking on the beach and acting all cute and romantic.
2nd Group
Date:
Meanwhile back at the house, the
second group date card comes for Kelsey, Trina, Alissa, Tracy, Jillian,
Becca, Amber, Ashley S., Juelia, Kaitlyn, and Britt. The date card reads
just one line..."Til death do us part."
The limo pulls up and drops the girls off at an eerie graveyard where Chris
tells the girls that they are going to spend the night shooting at zombies with
paintball guns.
And while
the rest of the women are screaming and hiding, Ashley S. actually seems to fit
right in with the zombies.
After everyone is sufficiently creeped out, Kaitlyn gets a little one-on-one
action with Chris in which they share their first kiss. Ashley's crazy ass then
steals him away and continues to talk non-sense about Mesa Verda and
"losing the world and gaining the world". Honestly, the girl is
on bath salts. Send her home.
Chris manages to break free of her craziness for some alone time with Britt,
whom he already seems extremely comfortable with. Obvi he can't give her
the rose again though, so he gives it to Kaitlyn.
As we head into the cocktail party, Megan, Kaitlyn, and Mackenzie all have
roses.
Whitney Claims time with him first, where she gives him his favorite bottle of
whiskey. Good job Whitney.
Cocktail
Party/Rose Ceremony:
Meanwhile....Ashley
I. tells Mackenzie that she's a virgin. Mackenzie's response? Jealousy. Because
according to her, "Guys like taking your virginity." Her daddy must
be so proud.
Ashley I.
then completely tarnishes the good girl image by telling Chris he has 3 wishes
on her belly button ring. Weirdo.
After too many glasses of champagne, and numerous make-out sessions, Chris
Harrison announces that it's time for the rose ceremony.
Making it
on to week 3 are......

Juelia, Amber, Tracy, Jillian, Jade, Nikki, Becca, Carly, Whitney, and Ashley
S….(Okay that's gotta be for ratings)
